Atlas

This wreck is believed to be a British built steam tanker Atlas, which was built in 1909. The Atlas was sunk by an Italian submarine in September 1940. Although there are records that show the Atlas lies off Yeman, this is no longer considered to be correct as wartime records can be unreliable . The wreck lies in 15 miles north of Ras Banas in the Egyptian Red Sea.
