The submission was required to be accompanied by a written statement. My statement was as follows:
'My submission represents examples of marine life associated with tropical reefs. These images range from macro images of very small creatures to images using full frame fisheye lens. They include images of animals in open water, such as shark and turtle, and also creatures on and around the reef.

Twenty images can only show a very small representation of the rich diversity of tropical marine life. The images show animals in their normal habitat as well as close up detail. The images show the rich colourations and delicate textures that can be found and, in come cases, examples of the symbiotic relationships and behavioural characteristics that occur.'
